We’ve built excellent links to the community, allowing residents to continue their lives outside the home with ease. We regularly plan trips out and about – whether to the shops, the seaside or a café for lunch. We also welcome entertainers and organisations into the home such as PAT dog volunteers and church groups. Snacks are provided for residents that require texture-modified food.

Activities Are So Important A willingness to get involved and try new things is something we see time and again, once people are given the opportunity. Our dedicated Recreation and Activities Coordinators oversee everything, but all our staff regularly brainstorm new ideas, too. And our residents vote on their suggestions at our monthly activity meetings, so we can be sure everyone’s looking forward to something, every day. More than one option is available at mealtimes for all residents, including those with special and theraputic diets. Residents dining in their own room have the same food options as elsewhere. For services we haven't rated we use ticks and crosses to show whether we've asked them to take further action or taken enforcement action against them. – the service isn't performing as well as it should and we have told the service how it must improve.
Our Home Manager, Lindsey has been the Home Manager here for over 25yrs. Lindsey is supported by a similarly long serving and caring nursing home team. We have been rated Good in the last five CQC inspections and are currently rated GOOD by the Care Quality Commission . Our home is set across two floors, and there are communal lounges and dining rooms on each floor, as well as ample outdoor space, meaning peace and quiet is never far away.
